Randy (performed by Wayne White) is the main antagonist. He is a red-headed string puppet who serves as the playhouse bully, usually making life miserable for Pee-wee and the playhouse characters. He once started a fire in the playhouse, and also talked Pee-wee into prank-calling police officer Daryl (George McGrath) on the Picturephone, suggesting that he might be a juvenile delinquent.
In Thing Party,
He is guilty, in the future series, Randy takes the Fish’s tank and drinks the water of the Fish’s tank and drops it. Pee-wee is so upset that Randy gets sent to jail with the Magic Screen as a punishment.
In The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway, Randy takes the place of puppet character Monsieur LeCroq (originally voiced and puppeteered by the late Phil Hartman).
Appearance[]
Randy has white skin, red freckles, and red hair in a flat-top, and wears a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and black-and-white shoes, to resemble how male bullies typically looked in the 1980s (when the show was filmed).
Randy strongly resembles legendary marionette Howdy Doody.
